Aki The Lion – Story
At iProSkills Academy, we wanted to create a mascot that brings a smile to every face—someone who could embody the spirit, strength, and passion that define our club. We didn’t just want a symbol; we wanted a personality. Someone full of energy, heart, and pride—just like our players.
And that’s how Aki the Lion was born.
Now, let’s let Aki tell his story in his own words:
“Alright, gather ‘round, folks! I’m Aki the Lion, the one and only mascot of the iProSkills Academy—and I’ve got a wild story for you. It all began one day when the club decided they needed a mascot who could embody everything they stand for—strength, heart, and a whole lot of personality. They wanted someone who could pump up a crowd, cheer for every goal, and put smiles on everyone’s faces, from the littlest fans to the grandparents in the stands. And naturally, they thought, “Well, who better than a lion?”
But I wasn’t going to be any ordinary lion, no way. They called in some hotshot American designer to sketch me up. And then they went straight to Maydwell Mascots, the Canadian mascot royalty, to actually bring me to life. These are the pros who’ve made mascots for Kinder, Dunkin’ Donuts, Huawei, Monopoly—basically all the big leagues. When I heard I was related to the AS Monaco mascot, I knew I was destined for greatness.
After a whole lot of mascot magic, I stepped onto the field for the first time, mane in full glory, smile ready to knock some socks off. And BAM! The crowd went wild. I waved, I danced, I even threw in a few dramatic roars. The kids loved me, the adults tried to keep up, and I was already the star of the show.
Now, wherever there’s a game, charity event, birthday party, or chance to make someone’s day, you’ll find me—Aki the Lion—ready to bring the energy, bust some moves, and spread those good vibes. So come on down, bring your high-fives, and let’s make some roar-worthy memories together!”
